Mount Cameroon is the Highest Mountain in West Africa. A tough 2-day hike. Very steep rocky terrain. The accommodation on the mountain was amazing! Warm cozy bed, good food and facilities.
DAY 1: BASE (1,000 m) TO HUT 2 (2,850 m)

Very steep ascent through the forest and the weather was hot & humid.
DAY 2: HUT 2 (2,850 m) TO SUMMIT (4,095 m)
– Distance: 4 km
– Time: 4 hr
– Elevation Gain: 1,250 m
Very windy & cold summit.
DAY 2: SUMMIT TO BASE.
– Distance: 12 km
– Time: 9 hr 20 min
– Elevation Loss: 3,100 m
The descent was brutal on the legs.
