- Description: The Cha Muhimu Traverse is a 90KM Aberdare Range traverse from the North to South. It requires one to summit Mount Satima, Table Mountain, Rurimeria Hill, Mount Kinangop and Elephant Hill. All in one trip.
- Difficulty: Very Hard.
- Duration: 3 Days/2 Nights Camping.
- Starting Point: Twin Rocks.
- Finish: Njabini Gate.
- Total Distance: 91.3 km.
- Total Elevation Gain: 3,226 m.
- Total Elevation Loss: 4,017 m.
- Total Calories Burned: 13,152.
DAY 1: Twin Rocks – Mount Satima – Table Mountain – Rurimeria Hill.
- Distance: 21.7 km.
- Time: 8 hr 50 min.
- Elevation Gain: 1,232 m.
- Elevation Loss: 759 m.

DAY 2: Rurimeria Hill – Mutubio Gate.
- Distance: 39.4 km.
- Time: 12 hr 25 min.
- Elevation Gain: 621 m.
- Elevation Loss: 1,240 m.

DAY 3: Mutubio Gate – Mount Kinangop – Elephant Hill – Njabini Gate. (Finish)
- Distance: 30.2 km.
- Time: 14 hr 3 min.
- Elevation Gain: 1,373 m.
- Elevation Loss: 2,018 m.

Tough challenge! It took me months to plan this hike and also doing some recce hikes to map out a route.
After successfully completing the traverse, I felt like it needed a name. So I named it, “The Cha Muhimu Traverse“.
